‘Boy Wearing a Wreath’ is medium sized oil painting on canvas.
I love painting people with flowers in their hair because they obviously come from another version of the world where humanity and nature link in a more beautiful way. I paint from my imagination and instinct, no models . On this occasion the image of this boy arrived to the picture with his clear purpose and a fierce gaze. Like most of my characters he comes from an imaginary Scotland which could be the past or maybe even the future. I want my pictures to have a strong humanity and the character of this boy is definite. I loved making him live in the painting.
