‘Star Glint’ is a large original oil painting on canvas, signed by the artist.

The blue light that comes as the stars begin to shine is a beautiful effect that I have long been fascinated by. In this painting sheep roam about on a frozen pasture as big yellow trees point us up to the sky. ‘Star-glint’ is a Scots word for a shooting stara s the little star in the sky seemed top become a major feature.

The landscapes I paint are not based on specific places, rather they are the Scotland of my imagination. They are painted places where anyone can visit to enjoy the vivid peace of Scotland.

Framed Original Artwork

We offer a professional farming service for Original Artwork at a flat rate of £60. Frames are hand-made to fit by Artist Surfaces in Anniesland, Glasgow, and ready to hang. This cost covers the cost of frame, work and the additional postage expenses.

John Martin personally selects a frame that best suits the artwork and would often be either Black, White or Grey.

We understand that this may not suit your home so please leave a note at checkout if you have a frame colour preference or call him to discuss.

Please allow additional time for the painting to be framed and dispatched.

Free Worldwide Delivery

Delivery is FREE for all my paintings and prints.

Buying prints from the site should be simple. Each print will be made to order so I would ask that you allow ten days to for this process and for delivery.

Buying and shipping paintings (and having them framed if you wish) requires more attention. If you are interested, please email me at [email protected] or call 07546539796 so I can reassure you about the timescale and arrange a studio visit to see the painting in person if you wish.

International Delivery

International delivery is also FREE although this means it is subsidized in order to give more people worldwide access to my work.
