Description
‘The Flock’ is a large original oil painting on canvas, signed by the artist.
The most instense colours come in the evening as the sun goes down. I have always loved traditional Scottish landscape paintings but also the bright colours and intensity of abstract expressionist work.
In this painting I have expressed a scene from my internal Scotland. An orange evening as the sun glints through the trees. On the grass a flock of sheep roams and grazes. As I paint cattle I find elements of their life and togetherness come to the fore which are also shared by us as humans.
Framed Original Artwork
We offer a professional farming service for Original Artwork at a flat rate of £60. Frames are hand-made to fit by Artist Surfaces in Anniesland, Glasgow, and ready to hang. This cost covers the cost of frame, work and the additional postage expenses.
John Martin personally selects a frame that best suits the artwork and would often be either Black, White or Grey.
We understand that this may not suit your home so please leave a note at checkout if you have a frame colour preference or call him to discuss.
Please allow additional time for the painting to be framed and dispatched.
Free Worldwide Delivery
Delivery is FREE for all my paintings and prints.
Buying prints from the site should be simple. Each print will be made to order so I would ask that you allow ten days to for this process and for delivery.
